Continuing with the expansion plan for the theme park segment in Foz do Iguaçu, the Wonder Park Foz, group that already manages the attraction Movie Cars, will launch two new attractions in December: the “Wonder Water Show” (water show) and a presentation dedicated to Christmas: the “Christmas Show”.
O “Wonder Water Show” was created as a tribute to the region that is home to the waterfalls of Iguaçu, the Paraná River, Guarani Aquifer and also important urban rivers, such as Monjolo and M'Boicy. With water as the main element, the entire presentation was planned to awaken the playful side of the audience, in a show that synchronizes the movement of water, light, projection and music, with soundtracks already known and also original. The Art Director of the new attraction, Felipe Guerra, is one of the most renowned architects and urban planners in Paraná and a partner of “Jaime Lerner Associates“, and highlights the show’s originality in Brazil. “This is the only show of its size in the country. Images are projected onto a huge water fountain, in sync with music that pays homage to cinema, inspired by fountains in tourist cities around the world. The technical details include a central jet that reaches almost 30 meters in height, as well as central and lateral circles and another arch in the background, with water jets and LED lighting. We developed the soundtrack, visual effects and projection for this special attraction that will delight the public.”.
Also in December, visitors to the theme park will be able to watch the Natal Show, a show that will run from December 9 to 23, starting at 12:18 pm, from Tuesday to Sunday. The cast includes 30 actors and dancers, all from Foz do Iguaçu. The artistic side is by “Colored Pencil Productions”, a company from Paraná known for its shows “Batel Christmas Parade” e “Christmas Caravan”, held in Curitiba.
The plot of the Christmas Show promotes integration between the cars and other classic movie figures from Movie Cars, the themed environment of the complex, the dancers and characters, and Santa Claus. The script of the story and the presentation are also integrated into the “Wonder Water Show”. It will be impossible for visitors not to get involved with all these scenographic elements: the costumes, the characters, the lighting, the objects and the sound effects were all produced to awaken this playful Christmas atmosphere.
“We know that Foz do Iguaçu is a destination for nature and contemplation. Our intention is to increase the city’s tourism with entertainment options that have this profile of playfulness, imagination and fantasy, for adults and children, and to enrich tourists’ leisure moments.”, highlighted Jurema Fernandes, Director of the Wonder Group.

2023: Opening of two more attractions at the Wonder Park Foz theme park
The investors in the Wonder Park Foz entertainment complex are Grupo Guerra, represented by businessman Ricardo Guerra, and Jin Petrycoski and Claudio Petrycoski, from Grupo Atlas, all businessmen from Paraná. The complex's first attraction was opened in 2021, the “Movie Cars Entertainment”. In 2022, the “Wonder Water Show”. In parallel, with opening in 2023, an attraction that goes back to aerospace history is already being built, the “Space Station” and also another immersive visit related to racing cars, the "Champions". In addition to the attractions that are part of the complex's fixed schedule, seasonal products are always launched, such as the Christmas Show and the Halloween party, which are already part of Foz do Iguaçu's events calendar.
Jurema also commented on the region’s potential as a tourist hub. “In addition to increasing the number of days tourists from outside the country stay, if we consider the population of the western region of Paraná, we have more than 1 million people. Added to cities in Paraguay, such as Ciudad del Este, Minga Guazú and Presidente Franco, as well as Puerto Iguazu in Argentina, we have another 1 million inhabitants who form a potential audience to watch these seasonal shows. These are people who are always looking for leisure options that are not too far from their cities. With these themed shows, we attract this population and thus create that cycle that is so longed for by tourist destinations: we boost not only the attractions, but the entire network of restaurants, accommodations, services, etc.”.
