
Residents of Foz do Iguaçu are gaining a new programming option on open TV, with the arrival of the TV Paraná Turismo retransmitter.

According to the State Secretariat for Communication, which manages the public broadcaster, TV Paraná Turismo will now occupy digital channel 44.1.
To tune in to Foz do Iguaçu, you just need to have an antenna (indoor or outdoor, depending on the region) connected to the TV. Then, search for channels (instructions may vary depending on the model).
TV Paraná Turismo is the former TV Paraná Educativa, which is based in Curitiba. The station currently broadcasts programs about tourism, culture and nature in the state. In addition, news programs and sporting events are also part of the schedule.
The government of Paraná is investing R$4,4 million in the acquisition of equipment for the channel. The arrival of the channel in Foz do Iguaçu is part of the expansion plan of the broadcaster, present in Curitiba, Matinhos, Pontal do Paraná and Guaratuba.
“TV Paraná Turismo brings its varied and quality programming to an ever-growing audience, with recognition even through awards”, explained the state secretary of Communication, Cleber Mata, quoted by the Municipal News Agency.
Foz do Iguaçu on the schedule
João Zisman, Secretary of Communication and Institutional Relations for the City of Foz do Iguaçu, said that the city will also have content in its programming.
“The arrival of TV Paraná Turismo in Foz is a great demonstration that the city is and should be the center of tourism news, both for Paraná and for the world,” he highlighted.
Alternatively, the Paraná Tourism TV is available on Ku Band channel 236, Sky TVRO channel 66, Star One D3985 satellite frequency 2 and on the internet.
