Responsible for works such as the duplication of BR-469 and the Perimetral Leste highway, Paraná Highway Department (DER/PR) informs the population of Foz do Iguaçu that it is implementing changes to the passage through the Argentina Trevo.

A viaduct is being built at the site, which marks the intersection between Avenida das Cataratas, BR-469 and the perimeter highway. The changes will come into effect this Tuesday (10).
Due to the works, DER/PR informs that, temporarily, “BR-469 will change from a double lane to a single lane”, as illustrated in the map above. The measure, according to the agency, is “necessary to move forward with the implementation of the new highway”.
“Drivers must follow the stretch with caution and extra attention during this period of works, obeying the provisional signs and instructions from workers on site”, advises the agency.
East Perimetral Works
The Foz do Iguaçu East Perimetral includes 14,7 kilometers of new lanes, designed to connect the Brazil-Paraguay Integration Bridge, the Tancredo Neves Bridge (border with Argentina), BR-469 and BR-277.
The contract includes two customs offices and six viaducts. The expected completion date, according to DER/PR, is November 2025. The latest measurement of the work, dated last month, indicates 48,64% completion.
