The City of Foz do Iguaçu released the average scores of municipal early childhood education centers (CMEIs) in “IDEBinho”. The information was published in the Official Gazette of the Municipality on Monday (30). In total, 45 CMEIs participated in the evaluation, and 36 reached the pre-established target. In this way, these places will guarantee bonuses for their education professionals.

“IDEBinho” assesses the performance of students in the 4th and 5th grades of early childhood education. The initiative serves as preparation for the Prova Brasil exam. This exam is used to measure the quality of education in public schools in Brazil.

The CMEI Prof. Elaine Bernardes Ribeiro was the highlight. Located in Jardim Buenos Aires, in the Carimã region, it received the highest score: 96. In addition, the unit recorded 83% student attendance. In second place was the CMEI Osvaldo Goch, in Vila Borges. It received a score of 92, with an attendance rate of 97%.

bonus

Of the 45 CMEIs, 36 achieved a score equal to or higher than 7, guaranteeing an additional bonus to education professionals at these locations, as provided for in the Results Management Program, promoted by the Municipal Department of Education.

Decree No. 33.209/2024 provides for professionals from CMEIs who meet the requirements – in addition to a grade of 7, an attendance rate of 80% –, the payment of R$4 (for 40-hour employees) and R$2 (for 20-hour employees), with the maximum amount of R$4 being able to accumulate for employees who have two contracts.
