Learn more about the 2nd International Meeting of Polyglots

The Argentine side of the border will host, this Saturday (2), the 2nd International Meeting of Polyglots, organized by the Yglota Institute – Polyglotism and Integration. The objective is to bring people closer together, through knowledge of the multiple languages ​​spoken by the region's residents.

The event will take place at the Panoramic Grand Hotel in Puerto Iguazú, and is scheduled to open at 8:30 am. Registration can be done online at the official website https://encontrodepoliglotas.com/.

In an interview with the Marco Zero program, produced by H2FOZ in partnership with Radio Club FM 100.9, interpreter and translator Otto Mendonça, a member of the organization, spoke about the program and the books that will be presented during the meeting, whose inaugural edition took place last year, in Foz do Iguaçu.

The opening panel, with the participation of representatives from Argentina, Brazil and Paraguay, will have as its theme “How can polyglots contribute to their institutions and the integration of the trinational region?”.

At 11:30 am, the “Yglota Report on Ethnicities and Nationalities in the Trinational Region of Iguassu” will be launched, which seeks to answer questions such as how many nationalities are represented on the border between Foz do Iguaçu, Puerto Iguazú, Ciudad del Este, Presidente Franco and Hernandarias.

In the afternoon, at 14 pm, the second round table of the event is scheduled, with the theme “How can polyglots meet the demands of trinational institutions and develop polyglotism and integration in South America?”.

At 19:XNUMX p.m., there will be the launch of the “Diccionario de Expresiones Comunes Trinacionales”, which brings together terms used by residents of the region. The work will be presented by the author, Argentine Hugo Benjamín López, who will give the closing lecture of the event.
