Foz do Iguaçu, June 1, 2024.

Foz do Iguaçu will celebrate its 110th anniversary as a municipality in June. The date is a reference to June 10, 1914, the day on which the city hall and the Municipal Chamber were installed in what was then Vila Iguassú.

To celebrate and make due record, the H2FOZ prepared a special notebook to publish, throughout the 30 days of the month, reports, special articles, interviews, opinion pieces, polls, photo essays and multimedia content about the past, present and future of the Land of the Falls.

The result of the joint efforts of the entire portal team, including columnists, the section required planning, meetings, visits to partners and (many) trips to the streets to capture the energy of Foz do Iguaçu in 2024.

None of this would be possible without the support of companies and institutions that believed in the project: Itamed, De Paula Contadores, Tarobá Construções, Foz Star Calçados, Sicoob Três Fronteiras, Descomplica UniAmérica, Polo Iguassu and APP-Sindicato NS Foz.

Until the 30th, we invite you to come in and feel at home in this living room of H2FOZ, diving into the special coverage of Foz's birthday month.

The update will be daily, always seeking analytical and differentiated views on the city that is the land (native or adopted) of all of us, in a full exercise of citizenship.

We will initially focus on recovering the past, to better understand the present. After all, preserving memory is fundamental for reading and rereading our history, contributing to the definition of identity and the affirmation of collective experiences.

Our intention is also to contribute to the debate of now (2024 is an election year) and what we want for tomorrow, the day after tomorrow and the following years, in areas such as economy, culture, education, tourism, environment, urban planning and many others.

Foz do Iguaçu, 110 years old, is a city with a single voltage, in constant transformation, “connected to 220”.

To the people of Iguaçu, residents of the border and visitors who pass through here during the month, our most effusive thanks.

I ask, considering the national history: WHAT ARE THE JESUIT MARKS AND MEMORIALS IN THE CATARATAS REGION?

Hi Mr. Guilherme and thank you for the initiative to comment on the 2 years of Foz do Iguaçu, leaving a history regarding our city. I lived in the city for 110 years from 14 to 1967 and I tried to collaborate as secretary of the Arena with the presidency of our friend Savaris who took over the Arena at the request of Governor Jaime Canet and with the Mayor we achieved many works. Greetings
