Foz do Iguaçu has countless attractions with beautiful scenery that, in itself, already yields good images. However, attentive eyes accompanied by a camera (or the popular smartphones) are able to capture details that may go unnoticed in the midst of the citizen's busy life.

These clicks, as beautiful or more so than the “conventional” records, are part of the hobby of the teenager Helena Segovia Zini, 15 years old. A resident of Jardim Maracanã, the first-year high school student at Colégio Estadual Cívico-Militar Tarquínio Santos takes advantage of her leisure time to capture unique moments on the border.
The student shares that photography “is a way to capture a moment, something beautiful that you see, something important or something that you want to remember.” In her photographic journey, she illuminates each frame with the energy and brightness of her youth. It’s like a reminder that even in the shadows, there is always a play of light waiting to be discovered.
As you can see, for Helena, beauty is unique and can be found in the landscape of a riverbank, in the eyes of a cat, in the colors of a butterfly or even in the concrete of a building.
Taking advantage of Foz do Iguaçu’s recent 110th anniversary, she gives us a tip on what the city needs to improve for teenagers and young people. “Not only tourist attractions, but it would be interesting to have more fun and interactive places in everyday life, such as music and art events, street markets, alternative shops and street decorations that make us want to take photos, that entertain us in a normal moment of our routine,” she explains.
