The resident builds the city. And his vision of this common geographic space often differs from the official discourse, the platforms and the balance sheets of public agents, who often want to convince others of their dedication to governing rather than present solutions and results for real problems.

When celebrating the 110th anniversary of Foz do Iguaçu, in the endeavor to list perspectives, H2FOZ prioritized the citizenship of Iguaçu. During the thirty days of June, the month of the city's anniversary, the portal published more than forty special contents, from reports to articles, as well as interviews, photo essays, polls and infographics.

SPECIAL SUPPORT

People who experience different contexts and realities joined the production of the essay. They generously wrote opinion pieces and contributed by proposing reflections on topics that affect the community, questioning, pointing out paths or drawing attention to demands that fail to receive the necessary attention.

In the surveys, residents pointed out how Foz do Iguaçu can be better for those who live there, from their own places in this group called community. Video testimonies covered all regions of the city, encompassed a variety of professional experiences and portrayed diverse social and generational stratifications.

SPECIAL SUPPORT

If the voices of citizens were given priority, the special edition of the 110th anniversary did not dispense with the participation of institutional subjects. Holders of public, legislative and executive positions presented initiatives and actions, measures and projects for Foz do Iguaçu, with accounts recorded and submitted for public evaluation.

The anniversary special covered the quadrants of Iguaçu's memory, valuing characters who helped build the city in their time, rescuing events, facts, and achievements. The message that remains is that Foz do Iguaçu, and the public authorities specifically, must take on the obligation to take care of its history with commitment.

Between potentialities that are not repeated elsewhere, unfulfilled promises and hopes pushed into the future, the present is being built by many hands. But it is certain that in Vila Iguassu of yesterday or in Foz do Iguaçu of today, there is pride in belonging to a unique city.

Congratulations on the documentary about the 110 years of Foz do Iguaçu, a city that also brings back memories of the 14 years I lived in this beautiful city on three borders with the Iguaçu Falls and the Itaipu Hydroelectric Plant, the largest in the world. A hug and greetings to the entire team. Have a good week. Greetings.

I recently moved to Cidade de Leste, very close to the border, and from my house I can see Foz, a city that I have come to love, because I am always there to resolve personal issues. It is a city that lacks social and institutional advances and needs to integrate the city with tourism, but it is undoubtedly beautiful and pretty with its parks and, without a doubt, the waterfalls and Itaipu, which are surreal. Congratulations, Foz.

I've been here for thirty years, and things are a little better now, but there's still a lot to be done by the politicians who come here, and most of them don't leave much good behind. In the years I've lived here, most of the mayors have been involved in corruption, and some are still facing lawsuits, and with that, they forget the responsibilities assumed by the people of Foz do Iguaçu, but the people don't deserve the politicians here.
