Last Friday (1st), the dollar reached the mark of R$5,93 in currency exchanges in the border region, amid uncertainty about the result of the elections in the United States and market doubts about the Brazilian economic outlook for 2025.

Since then, the polls have shown Republican Donald Trump's victory in the United States, the Brazilian federal government has signaled spending cuts, and the Central Bank has increased the base interest rate.
The sum of these factors had an effect on the exchange rate. The following values, referring to the exchange offices in Foz do Iguaçu and Paraguay, were compiled by H2FOZ at 13 pm this Thursday (7), and may fluctuate until the end of the afternoon or at the opening of the following day.
