According to the newspapers ABC Color e The key, the situation occurred at customs in Ciudad del Este, in the queue at the National Directorate of Migration counters.

The 30-year-old traveler was waiting to register his departure from Paraguay via the Friendship Bridge when he became ill, fell and hit his head.
Rescuers from the Ciudad del Este Volunteer Fire Department took the man to the Regional Hospital, where he was evaluated.
At the scene, he reported having fainted at the head of the Friendship Bridge due to having fasted for a long time, having swallowed cocaine capsules. The drug, ingested hours earlier in the Paraguayan capital, Asunción, was destined for Spain.
Medical tests detected the presence of more than 50 cocaine capsules in the traveler's system. This situation could have led to his death if just one of the capsules had broken and spread the substance throughout his body.
Informed about the incident that began at the Friendship Bridge, agents from the Paraguayan National Police set up guard at the hospital to arrest him after he was discharged from the hospital.
According to the newspaper The key, the man has a history of traveling between Paraguay and Spain, passing through Brazil before arriving in the European country.
The Paraguayan Public Prosecutor's Office ordered the seizure of a cell phone and other objects that were in the luggage left by the individual on the Friendship Bridge.
The objective is to identify people involved in the drug trafficking scheme, as the man arrested would only act as a “mule” for an international criminal organization.
