The agreement aims to implement the Mais Engenharia Program, which will offer 50 specialization scholarships for engineers and another 50 scholarships for internships. Of the available vacancies, half will be reserved for female candidates.

Thus, Itaipu hopes to help small municipalities in Paraná in the preparation of infrastructure projects, so that they can participate in public tenders and obtain resources.

“We will provide the conditions to change the structure of these municipalities. Otherwise, it will remain a welfare system: Itaipu sends resources, but that does not change the life of the municipality,” assessed the Brazilian general director of the plant, Enio Verri.

“Having a technical team committed to succeeding in these projects, that really changes the reality,” said the director.

According to Itaipu, the registration form is now available on the CREA-PR website (click here to access the link direct). The notice will remain open until July 13th. The announcement of the results is scheduled for the 31st.

According to the classification criteria, priority will be given to professionals residing in small municipalities with a low level of development.

Itaipu informs that classes for the specialization course in Public Management in Engineering and Sustainable Development, taught by UEPG, will begin in October.

The course will total 480 hours, over 24 months, with the participation of 16 professors, one per discipline, as well as 50 supervisors of the course completion projects.

In return, Itaipu clarifies that scholarship holders must dedicate 30 hours per week to activities in the city halls participating in the program.

In addition, each student must create four projects, the copyrights of which will be transferred to CREA-PR for application in any municipality in Paraná.
