According to Turismo Itaipu, the event aims to commemorate the hydroelectric plant's anniversary month. The company that manages the binational partnership between Brazil and Paraguay, which will be 51 years old this Saturday (17), was founded in May 1974.

According to the list, the free buses for the Itaipu Panoramic tour will depart from the city center and neighborhoods such as Conjunto Libra, Porto Meira, Três Lagoas, Vila A and Vila C Nova. On the way back, the buses will return to the same locations.

Center: next to the Guarani Forest, on Mem de Sá Street.
Libra Set: in front of the Bible Square, on Avenida República Argentina.
Port Meira: Rowing Park, on Morenitas Avenue.
Three Lagoons: Three Lagoons Square, on Mundaú Street.
Village A: Gramadão, on Silvio Américo Sasdelli Avenue.
Vila C Nova: Our Lady of Light Church, on Aracaju Street.

Buses will depart at two times: early in the morning, at 8:30 am; and early in the afternoon, at 14 pm. Itaipu asks interested parties to fill out the registration form (click here to access), with a deadline until May 28th, at 18 pm.

When boarding, visitors must present proof of residence. Minors may use the same proof as their parents. Access by unaccompanied minors, however, will not be permitted.

Free visits to the Itaipu power plant

On other days of the year, residents of Foz do Iguaçu and neighboring municipalities also have free entry to the Itaipu Panoramic tour. However, there is no direct transportation from the neighborhoods, and residents must make their own way to the Visitor Reception Center.
