Over the next few months, the playground and gym will Gramadao da Vila A, in Foz do Iguaçu, will undergo improvements. The investment will be made by the Brazilian board of Itaipu, administrator of the popular leisure space in the Land of the Falls.

“The objective of the intervention is to replace old equipment and adapt spaces to provide greater comfort and safety to users,” the binational company reports.

According to Itaipu, the playground will receive eight new toys and the sandbox wall will be extended to prevent the material from spreading. In addition, the rubber floor will be replaced and expanded, which will now cover new areas.
On the other hand, the gym equipment will gain new positions, allowing use by the different audiences that frequent Gramadão in Foz do Iguaçu.
According to Itaipu, there will be no complete closure of the playground and gym during the interventions, which began last Tuesday (17).
Janine Alicia Groenwold, a civil engineer at the binational company, said that there will be movement of materials in the area, which requires care on the part of the public.
“We will isolate only the affected areas so as not to close the entire playground, but to do so we will need everyone’s cooperation. We ask for special attention from the children’s parents to avoid accidents,” explained Groenwold, quoted by Itaipu’s press office.
Gramadão da Vila A receives daily visits from residents from various parts of Foz do Iguaçu. The busiest times are on weekends, especially on Sunday afternoons and evenings.
