The final phase of construction of the Padre Arturo Paoli Children's and Youth Therapeutic Complex has been completed. The services include technical and professional care for children, adolescents and young people, as well as their families, including integrative, sports and occupational therapies in the treatment.

“We are going to inaugurate 100% of the therapeutic complex, a project that began in 2020, at the request of the city itself, to serve children and adolescents with mental health needs, with integrative practices and employment and income programs,” said Suzane. “It is a great achievement for our entire city,” she celebrated.

The legacy of Father Arturo Paoli, who led numerous projects in favor of the socially vulnerable population in Foz do Iguaçu, was highlighted. “He was an Italian priest deeply committed to human rights and social justice. This complex was born from the inspiration of his teachings, in which love and acceptance are the basis of all change,” Filomena emphasized.

The total investment in the project was R$4,9 million, funded by the Municipal Health Department, with mandatory amendments from the Municipal Council, the Federal Court, the Federal Revenue Service and Itaipu Binacional. The proposal is to accommodate children, adolescents and young people aged 10 to 18, with needs arising from the use, abuse or dependence of drugs, or who have mental health issues, such as suicidal ideation, depression and anxiety.

The Padre Arturo Paoli Children's and Youth Therapeutic Complex is located at Rua Malva Rosa, 145, Bubas Housing Complex.

Artur Paoli is an exemplary priest. I am not Catholic, but I knew him. I recognize his work, which is wonderful. However, in a city that receives millions of dollars from Itaipu, it is shameful to think that this amount is large for health or special care.
Congratulations to Father Arturo who is no longer with us.
