Brazil currently has 16.380.713 people affiliated with political parties in the country and 16.622 outside the country, of which 8.681.398 are male (53,65%) and 7.315.477 are female (46,30%). The 10 largest parties in terms of number of members are: MDB with 2.081.810, PT with 1.650.834, PRD with 1.330.333, PP with 1.330.329, PSDB with 1.303.480, PDT with 1.112.799, União with 1.101.935, PL with 903.793, PODE with 815.059 and PSB with 665.394.
In Paraná there are 986.142 people, 564.375 males (57,23%) and 421.604 females (42,75%); the largest parties being the MDB with 150.030 members, the PP with 99.480, the PT with 77.685, the União with 73.171, the PSDB with 72.615, the PRD with 72.000, the PODE with 66.701, the PDT with 63.352, the PL with 57.961 and the PSB with 35.961.
According to the table below, we can see that the ten parties with the most affiliations in Brazil and Paraná are the same, although the position of some of these parties has changed; the most luminous case is that of the PP, which occupies fourth place in the country and in Paraná rises to second, behind only the MDB. In fact, the capillarity of the MDB also deserves to be highlighted, as it maintains first place in the country, in the state and in the municipality.

We should point out that the PRD and PSDB of Foz do Iguaçu show some relevance, since they are in second and third place, respectively, better positions than those recorded in Paraná and Brazil.
Regarding our municipal landscape, we note that we have 22.638 members, 11.903 of whom are male (52,58%) and 10.731 (47,40%). The ten parties with the most members in the city are the same as those in Paraná and Brazil, as shown in the table below; only 4 of the people affiliated in the city have social registration, 3 are male and one is female.
With special needs, there are 615 people linked to a political party and regarding marital status, the TSE records from 2024 show that of the 22.638 party affiliations in Foz do Iguaçu, 11.072 are married (48,91%), 8.195 are single (36,20%), 1.800 are divorced (7,95%), 1.027 are widows (4,54%), 535 are legally separated (2,36%) and 9 people did not inform.
Regarding race or color, 21.508 people (95%) did not fill in the identification field, 597 declared themselves white, 438 declared themselves brown, 84 declared themselves black, 9 declared themselves yellow and only 2 people declared themselves indigenous; no one identified themselves as quilombola.
Regarding the time of affiliation, the TSE figures indicate that 981 had been members for less than a year in October 24, 1.545 had been members for between 5 and 10 years, 1.570 had been members for between 1 and 5 years and 18.542 (81%) had been members for more than 10 years.
Regarding age group, we have the following records: 2 people aged 16, 3 people aged 17, 27 people between 18 and 20 years old, 104 people between 21 and 24 years old, 1.070 people between 25 and 34 years old, 3.704 people are between 35 and 44 years old, 8.948 (39%) are between 45 and 49 years old, 5.372 people are between 60 and 69 years old, 2.465 people are between 70 and 79 years old and, finally, 943 people are over 79 years old. We remind you once again that these numbers are from 2024, when the last update of party affiliations at the TSE was made.
We conclude these notes with the education of the affiliated people, according to the numbers there are 445 illiterate, 1.848 with complete elementary education, 5.603 have incomplete elementary education (24%), 5.715 completed high school (25%), 1.869 did not complete high school, 1.494 people only read or write, 1.344 people have incomplete higher education, 4.316 people have completed higher education and 4 people did not inform their level of education.
