The Legislative Assembly will hold an edition of the Itinerant Assembly in Bandeirantes on September 4, during ExpoBan. The announcement was made by President Alexandre Curi, at the request of Deputy Romanelli. The initiative has already been to 21 cities and received more than 10 thousand demands from the population. The proposal is to bring the legislature closer to the communities and strengthen direct dialogue with the people of Paraná.

awarded
The Itinerant Assembly won the Most Creative Curitiba award in the “Creativity in Public Management” category. Congresswoman Maria Victória (PP) received the award and highlighted Alep’s commitment to innovation and dialogue. Since 2023, the project has held 21 sessions in the interior of Paraná. The next edition will be in May, at Expoingá. Another Alep project, the Special Prosecutor’s Office for Women, was a finalist in the “Social Innovation and Community Impact” category.

Or Porto
The Federal Court of Auditors is monitoring the concession of the waterway access channel to the Port of Paranaguá, which foresees R$1,23 billion in investments starting in 2029. The project will be the first of its kind in Brazil and includes expansion, maintenance and operation of the channel. The auction will select private partners to operate the port infrastructure.

Conclave
The death of Pope Francis marked the beginning of one of the oldest and most solemn rituals of the Catholic Church: the conclave to choose his successor. The process brings together cardinals from all over the world in the Sistine Chapel. Of the 252 cardinals, 135 representing 71 countries will be responsible for choosing the new spiritual leader. Brazil is the third country with the largest number of cardinals, with 7 eligible to vote. Read the full story at: https://cidadaoalerta.org.br/.

Alliance
Progressives and União Brasil will form a federation to contest the 2026 elections with Governor Ronaldo Caiado (GO) as a pre-candidate for the Presidency. The official announcement will be on Tuesday (29). The new acronym, União Progressista, will have 108 federal deputies and 13 senators. From Paraná, 10 federal and 14 state representatives will participate, uniting center-right forces.

OAB Commissions
Two lawyers from Paraná have been appointed to national OAB committees. Ana Carolina Moreira Santos from Curitiba will be a member of the Medical Law Committee. Vanessa Zampier, from Londrina, will be a member of the Communications Committee. The appointments were announced by the National OAB. Both women emphasize the importance of strengthening women's participation in the organization.

Municipal Agenda
Secretary Guto Silva (Cities) had a busy schedule this Thursday and Friday in municipalities in the interior of Paraná. The visits included meetings with local leaders, inaugurations and participation in events in the cities of Santo Antônio da Platina and Cornélio Procópio. Guto Silva highlighted the importance of direct contact with the population.

Full-time education
Full-time enrollment in the Paraná state school system reached 214 students in 2024, an increase of 28% compared to the previous year. The model is present in 680 schools, focusing on technical, sports and civic-military education. The goal is to reach 400 students by 2026. The increase is part of the “More Learning” program. The government attributes the growth to good academic performance.

Illegal Medicines
The Federal Police served warrants in Paraná and five other states against a scheme to illegally send medicines abroad. The operation is investigating crimes such as smuggling and counterfeiting. The medicines were sold through digital platforms and sent by shipping companies. Thirteen search warrants and two arrest warrants were served. The operation took place on April 13.

worse
Hospitalized since April 13, Bolsonaro's condition worsened in the ICU at the DF Star Hospital. A day earlier, he was cited by the Supreme Court for attempted coup d'état, while in his hospital bed. The former president recorded the moment and posted it on social media. Doctors have prohibited visitors, but he remains active online. The episode has intensified the political conflict and raised doubts about his future in the 2026 race.

Popular support
Almost 70% of Brazilians support President Lula's (PT) proposal to exempt income tax for those who earn up to R$5. This is shown in a survey by Paraná Pesquisas released this Thursday (24). The measure is gaining traction among young people, people with higher education and residents of the Northeast. With growing support, the proposal could become a key piece for 2026 — if it passes through Congress.
