Guaratuba Bridge
The construction of the Guaratuba Bridge is 50% complete, with R$386,9 million invested by the Government of Paraná. The work has already revealed a good part of the 1.244-meter route. More than 600 workers are working on the structure, which has already consumed 2 tons of steel and 14 m³ of concrete.

51th Expoingá
IDR-Paraná is participating in the 51st Expoingá, from May 8 to 18, in Maringá, with the “Fazendinha” space, which presents the trajectory of Rural Extension and sustainable innovations for the countryside. The proposal highlights the importance of connectivity between the rural environment and society.

51st Expoingá II
At Fazendinha, the public will find 11 educational units with themes such as agroecology, rural tourism, renewable energy and coffee growing. The space promotes the appreciation of family farming and shows how knowledge and technology drive sustainable development in the countryside.

Paraná created 60.757 formal job vacancies in the first quarter of 2025, achieving the 5th best result in Brazil, according to Caged. The positive balance reflects the difference between 571.966 admissions and 511.209 dismissals in the period.

Employment balance
Between April 2024 and March 2025, Paraná had the 3rd largest job balance in the country, with 118.038 vacancies. The sectors that hired the most in the quarter were Services, Industry and Civil Construction.

May
The month of May in Paraná is expected to have below-average rainfall and slightly above-normal temperatures, according to Simepar. The trend is for drier and warmer days, with few cold air inflows. The May 1st holiday was a stable one in all regions of the state.

Public Hearing
The Legislative Assembly will hold a public hearing on Monday, the 5th, at 9:30 am, to discuss the fight against noise pollution, a problem that leads to complaints of disturbance of peace. The action marks the International Noise Awareness Day (30/4).

Yellow May
The Yellow May campaign reaches its 10th edition in 2025 with actions to reduce traffic accidents, after an 8,2% increase in deaths on Paraná's highways in 2024. A session at the Legislative Assembly on Tuesday, the 6th, will mark the opening, with a focus on raising awareness among drivers, cyclists and pedestrians. Data shows an increase in infractions such as speeding and drunk driving.

Factory
DAF Trucks will invest R$950 million in Ponta Grossa by 2029, expanding its factory with support from the Paraná Competitivo program. The unit in Campos Gerais, which already employs 1.050 workers, will increase its truck production to strengthen South American exports. The project qualifies the Paraná industry with technology equivalent to that of the Belgian parent company.

Access to justice
Secretary Santin Roveda (Justice and Citizenship) met with the president of the Paraná Bar Association, Luiz Fernando Casagrande Pereira, and they discussed the proposal aimed at providing access to justice for the most vulnerable populations in Paraná. Pereira presented the project that combines technology, citizenship and legal inclusion. “The proposal, developed with the close support of Governor Ratinho Júnior (PSD), will serve precisely those who need it most: people in vulnerable situations, often on the margins of the judicial system,” said Roveda.

Vice-leader
Congressman Aliel Machado (PV) took over as deputy leader of the government in the Chamber of Deputies, prioritizing the approval of the expansion of the income tax exemption bracket for those earning up to R$5. He highlighted that the measure will benefit millions of Brazilians and boost the economy, in addition to mentioning the Public Security PEC as another urgent matter. Aliel Machado stated that his role will be to mediate between the government and society, seeking to avoid polarization and focusing on practical results for the population.
