The fate of the Army barracks, located in the center of Foz do Iguaçu, needs to be considered. It is inadequate for military activities of training troops, while at the same time it constitutes a space that hinders the city in its territorial expansion.
In order not to be the object of greed of land developers, the city government, representing the wishes of the citizens, should seek a dialogue with the Army authorities, with the aim of deactivating this military unit and transferring it to another Army area on the Rodovia das Cataratas.
The building and its surroundings would have new uses, such as being a large cultural/recreational space, housing a museum of the city and region, a school of dramatic/cinematic arts and a multi-sports complex for our children and young people.
The Cultural Foundation would be responsible for this new venture and, together with local universities, would carry out the creation and operation of the activities.
All of this would be involved in creating a tourist-cultural attraction for the city, with regular events, in order to provide an audience, location and visitors for all the activities that would be carried out with this proposal.

At the same time, within the issue of environmental preservation, which is one of Foz do Iguaçu's strong points, the entire area could be revitalized within this scope, which is absolutely fundamental nowadays.
Now you can let your imagination run wild and think about how this issue will imply the need to revitalize the city center, which must be carried out by local property owners and the municipal government.
Thinking about costs is very important, but the reversion to investments to finance other ventures is something that must be taken into due consideration, because it is quite possible that this effect will be quite quick and relatively rewarding.
This is a major undertaking, perhaps the most fundamental in urban terms that the city must undertake in planning its near future.
