In an interview during the program ground zero, produced in partnership between H2FOZ e Radio Club, the co-owner of Casa Vitória, Laudelino Pacagnan, said that he came with his wife to Foz do Iguaçu in 1985, at the invitation of his father-in-law, after a career as a manager at Banco Mercantil in São Paulo. The goal, initially, was to work on the Paraguayan side.
“In 1992, I suffered a coup in Paraguay. At that time, we had a group that prayed the rosary every week in Jardim Central. There, Paulo Pulcinelli [owner of Panorama Home Center] and his wife told me about a small store that was for sale. We went there to look, it worked out, and on the 15th, we started Casa Vitória,” he recalled.
According to Laudelino, the key to the company's success, amidst the numerous economic fluctuations over the last three decades on the border, is the dedication of the family and the team, with employees who have worked there since the early years.
“The proposal of Casa Vitória, since 1992, when it was just a little door, is more than selling, it is creating a healthy, happy environment with employment opportunities, so much so that we have gone through all this while always maintaining the employees, who today number almost 70”, said the businessman, who also works as a volunteer in the community.
