The care provided to state employees in Foz do Iguaçu by the Health Assistance System (SAS) was transferred to the Madre de Dio Hospital, located in the municipality of São Miguel do Iguaçu, 45 kilometers from Foz do Iguaçu.

According to the Administration and Social Security Secretariat, the change of hospital serving the employees was necessary because the former service provider chose not to renew the contract.

In Foz do Iguaçu, the services were provided by the Cataratas Hospital, which had accumulated a series of complaints from employees. In May, the Court of Justice of Paraná ordered the eviction of the Cataratas Hospital due to non-payment of rent.

With the change, for now, only emergencies are being attended to in Foz do Iguaçu, by Acesso Saúde. The other consultations are carried out at Hospital Madre de Dio.

The availability of care in another city generated complaints from public servants at the SAS in Curitiba. However, the Secretary of Health and Social Security of APP/Foz, Maria Madalena, says that in Foz do Iguaçu there is no other hospital to absorb the care at the moment.

The SAS serves active, retired, dependent and pensioner civil servants. The system replaced the former State Pension Institute (IPE), whose services were more highly regarded by state civil servants than the SAS.

Expertise and humiliation

Madalena says there are other problems involving the health of employees, including the assessments. Appointments are often slow, and many sick teachers are unable to take leave.

“When someone is sick and issues a lot of medical certificates, they send them to Curitiba.” She emphasizes that it is necessary to bring back humanized expertise.

The precariousness of the service, resulting from the outsourcing of experts, means that few professionals are available.

Currently, at least 45% of teachers and state employees are sick, APP says.

New bidding process underway

In a note, the Secretariat of Administration and Social Security informed that, to avoid interruption in services, an emergency contract was signed with the Madre de Dio Hospital.

A new bidding process for the definitive hiring of a provider is already underway.

Regarding expert services, there are, to date, no records of complaints regarding the speed or conduct of the expert assessments.

The Administration and Social Security Secretariat carries out constant assessments of service providers and advises that, to ensure compliance with what is provided for in the contract, any complaint or suggestion be registered with the Health Care System (SAS) Ombudsman.

ANOTHER BIG SCAM BY THE RAT GOVERNMENT.
IT WAS NOT RENEWED BECAUSE THE STATE PAYS INSUFFICIENTLY.
IT WAS NEVER A QUALITY SERVICE, BUT IT SERVED THE MINIMUM NECESSARY.
FOZ HAS A HOSPITAL OF EXCELLENCE (TODAY ITAMED) BUT THE AVAILABILITY OF RESOURCES FOR HIRING MUST BE SO BAD THAT NO HOSPITAL WANTS TO GET INTO THIS MESS...

The service at SAS in recent years has gone from bad to terrible. The service provided by Cataratas employees seemed to have had training to provide poor service to SAS users. Most of them were grumpy and seemed to always have toothaches. Unfortunately, it closed late. It will not be missed.

Another one from Ratazana Jr. This is how he treats state employees. No medical care. No salary adjustment. But in the propaganda he is the best administrator and wants to be President of the Republic. This way he will end the SUS.
