Celebrities from Brazil and Argentina chose the Iguaçu Falls as their destination for their trips last weekend. On the Brazilian side, there was a long Corpus Christi holiday (June 19). The neighboring country celebrated Flag Day (June 20).

When celebrities post photos and videos of the Falls on their social media, the phenomenon of spontaneous media generation occurs. Thus, images of the destination reach an audience that would normally be consuming other types of content.

On the Brazilian side, the highlight was the visit of the actress and presenter Sabrina Sato, who was in Foz do Iguaçu with the actor and singer Nicolas Prattes.
The couple stayed at the hotel across from the falls and posted numerous posts about the park, including boat and helicopter rides. According to their press office, Sabrina and Nicolas also took the opportunity to visit the recently opened Ciclovia das Cataratas.
On Instagram alone, Sabrina Sato has 30,8 million followers. Her most-liked post about the Falls, in the first few hours, surpassed 60 thousand interactions. It currently has 120,1 thousand.
“Every time I come to Iguaçu National Park, I have the same feeling: it feels like I’m closer to God,” he wrote. “It’s impossible to be here, to feel the power of Mother Nature, the sound of the water, the smell of the forest, and not be moved. I get very moved.”
Argentine side of the Falls
On the other hand, the Iguazú National Park in Argentina received a visit from actress Barbie Pucheta Vélez, widely known by the Argentine public. Accompanied by her family, the daughter of actress Nazarena Vélez celebrated her 31st birthday.
“I am with the wonderful family I have created, who love me and I love them with all my heart, in this paradise,” Barbie Vélez wrote on Instagram. “Thank you, thank you, thank you!”
