The participation aimed to expand the city's presence in the corporate events, congresses and fairs segment, as well as incentive and business trips.
The Land of the Falls was represented by the Municipal Department of Tourism (Smtu) and Visit Iguassu. Adriane Bordin, Director of Promotion, Digital Marketing and Events at Smtu, highlighted the competitiveness of Foz do Iguaçu.
“We have brought together a versatile infrastructure for events, a wide hotel network, unique settings and attractions that provide unforgettable experiences for congress participants,” he listed.
According to Bordin, events like Speed Meeting allow for closer relationships with organizers, agencies and strategic partners.
Currently, Foz do Iguaçu is in fourth place in the number of international events in Brazil. In 2024, according to Smtu, the destination hosted 417 events, with a total audience of 289,2 thousand participants.
Internationally coveted, event tourism drives dozens of sectors of the economy, generating permanent and temporary jobs. In addition, event tourists tend to spend more per trip and stay longer at the destination.
