A hotel in Foz do Iguaçu is ranked first among the best establishments in Brazil, according to a list published in France. It is the “Hotel das Cataratas, A Belmond Hotel”, located inside the Iguaçu National Park.

O ranking was prepared by the French guide The list, in its publication Top 1000 Hotels 2025. On a scale from zero (worst) to one hundred (best), Hotel das Cataratas scored 97.5 points, surpassing traditional competitors in the sector.
The representative of Foz do Iguaçu is ahead of, for example, the Copacabana Palace (Rio de Janeiro) and the Hotel Fasano Boa Vista (São Paulo). In total, eight Brazilian hotels are listed by the guide among the thousand best in the world.
The classification of ranking, according to the organizers, is based on “hundreds of guides and millions of reviews from customers, experts and industry publications”.
O The list has its own algorithm, which aggregates and analyzes data from more than 400 international sources, listing the highest averages. Thus, the Foz do Iguaçu hotel has consolidated its position as a prominent enterprise in the Brazilian hotel industry.
In statements reproduced by the State News Agency, Leonaldo Paranhos, Secretary of Tourism of Paraná, who was recently in Foz do Iguaçu, celebrated the assessment.
Renata Portes, general manager of Hotel das Cataratas, reaffirmed the company's commitment to excellence in the services provided in Foz do Iguaçu.
