Cataratas Day 2024: residents will have two days of free entry

On Sunday (10) and Monday (11), there will be no entrance fee for those who present documents and proof of residence.

In celebration of the 13th anniversary of the election of the Iguaçu Falls among the seven natural wonders of the planet, which took place on November 11, 2011, residents of Foz do Iguaçu and the region will have two days of free entry to the Iguaçu National Park.

According to the concessionaire Urbia Cataratas, free admission and internal transportation to the park is for Cataratas Day (#CataratasDay2024), celebrated on November 11, and will be valid for Sunday (10) and Monday (11).

To be entitled to free entry, simply go to the Visitor Center and present a photo ID and proof of residence in Foz and the other 13 municipalities neighboring Iguaçu National Park.

The rules for proof of residence are the same as for the Community Pass. To check the list of accepted documents, click here.

The free service does not include parking or luggage storage, which must be paid for normally. Community Pass users have a 20% discount on purchases in stores, kiosks, snack bars, restaurants and photography services.

Specifically on Sunday, the park will open earlier, from 8 am, with the following schedule:

Visitors Center
• From 8am to 17pm – regional producers’ fair
• From 8am to 17pm – Urbia Cataratas job fair
• From 9am to 15pm – photos with the characters Naipi and Tarobá
• From 10am to 12pm – live music

Waterfalls Viewpoint
• From 8am to 16pm – message board at the first viewpoint of the Falls
• From 8am to 16pm – themed signs Selfie from #CataratasDay

Porto Canoas Space
• From 11am to 15pm – live music at Espaço Porto Canoas
• From 11am to 16pm – drinks bar at Espaço Porto Canoas

Cataratas Day 2024 is organized by Iguaçu National Park, Urbia Cataratas, Visit Iguassu and the Municipal Secretariat of Tourism and Strategic Projects of Foz do Iguaçu, with publicity from RPC.
