The most visited tourist attraction on the Argentine side of the border, Iguazú National Park will have special opening hours during the Easter holiday weekend. On Friday (18) and Saturday (19), tourists will have an extra hour to hike the trails to the Falls in Argentina.
According to the concessionaire Iguazú Argentina, on Thursday (17) and Sunday (20), the park will operate with normal hours. The opening will take place at 8 am, with the total closure of activities at 18 pm.
On Friday (18) and Saturday (19), days with expected higher demand, service on the Argentine side of the Falls will begin at 7 am, closing at 18 pm.
During the entire holiday period, the last train to Garganta do Diabo station will leave at 15:30 pm. Those who arrive between 15:30 pm and 16 pm (the last time allowed for access) will only be able to walk the trails closest to the Visitor Center.
During the holiday, all Argentine circuits of the Falls will be open, including the Garganta del Diablo viewpoint, on the edge of the cliff.
Visitors will also be able to enjoy experiences in the forest, traveling along the Sendero Verde and Sendero Macuco trails. In addition, the Yaguareté Territory, a space for raising environmental awareness about the jaguar, will be open to visitors.
Restrictions on the long weekend
Due to the expected large movement, the concessionaire and the administration of the Argentine Falls park will adopt some restrictive measures.
On Friday and Saturday, parking will be reserved for private cars only, with tourist vehicles having to return later to pick up passengers.
From Thursday to Saturday, pedestrians will be prohibited from using the path parallel to the train route. The only access to the Garganta do Diabo station will therefore be with the Jungle Train (ticket already included in the ticket to the Falls).
For foreign tourists (including Brazilians and Paraguayans, who previously had discounts), tickets cost P$45. At the exchange rate of R$1 to P$225, as practiced at the border, this amount is equivalent to R$200. Tickets in https://iguazuargentina.com/.
Accessibility at the Falls
This week, Iguazú National Park announced the acquisition of two electric vehicles, similar to golf carts, to assist people with mobility difficulties.
In addition, 20 baby strollers are now available for rent, to make it easier for families with babies to take a stroll around the Falls.
The panoramic trails on the Argentine side (Devil's Throat, Upper Circuit and Lower Circuit) are adapted for wheelchairs.
