Foz do Iguaçu has just gained a new attraction that combines nature and technology: Lumina Park. The space, an 800-meter night trail set in a forest with fairies, elves and mystical creatures, is located in Wonder Park.
The attraction was inaugurated on Tuesday, the 5th, in an open-air ceremony with more than 300 people welcomed with a toast on the park deck.
The event brought together several authorities, including the municipal secretary of Tourism of Foz, André Alliana; the elected mayor, Joaquim Silva e Luna; the elected vice-mayor, Ricardo Nascimento; the director of the Foz do Iguaçu Cultural Foundation, Juca Rodrigues; the president of Visit Iguassu, Jaime Mendes; and the president of the Foz City Council, João Morales.
The event hosts, Jin Petrycoski, director of Wonder Park, and his wife, Jacqueline Guerra, thanked the audience for attending in a farewell speech. In 2025, he will take over the Foz do Iguaçu Tourism Department. “Today I say goodbye to the Wonder team to focus on a new challenge and I count on your support to make the changes that the city has been waiting for for years,” he said.
Mayor-elect Silva e Luna praised Jin’s entrepreneurial vision and his ability to position Foz do Iguaçu on the international tourism scene. “Jin will be able to give Foz the value and importance it deserves and attract investors,” he said.
Circuit
Welcomed by a fairy, the audience was able to explore the trail after the ribbon cutting. The tour delighted children and adults, who experienced a fantasy atmosphere. “I thought it was magical, fantastic! I really like cartoons and, here on the trail, I felt like I was in one of those scenarios,” said nutritionist Joice Silva.
The public walked along the trail calmly, appreciating every corner of the forest and taking advantage of the ideal setting to take photos.
The Lumina circuit includes an enchanted garden, butterfly valley, firefly station, jaguar enclosure, tree of life, northern lights and wishing well. The entire route is enriched with themed lighting, sound effects and visual projections that create a magical and immersive atmosphere.
Lumina Park had a soft launch on November 1st and, according to Wonder Park’s Marketing Director, Paula Canella, it had already won over visitors with a 97% approval rating. “We hope you also create beautiful family memories here at Lumina Park,” she said.
For Dagmar Pedroso, from Adetur Cataratas e Caminhos, the experience was surprising. “I loved it, especially because it was a nighttime attraction for the family, a fantasy, something different. Everyone needs to visit this place,” she said.
The program ended with the Water Show and a special outdoor dinner, while guests were also able to check out Movie Cars, an exhibition of iconic cinema cars.
