“We are prepared for an increase in airport activity and committed to developing excellent work,” said Wander, quoted by the press office.
According to CCR, the movement follows last year's average and will mark the end of the summer season, considered positive. From December 2024 to the end of January 2025, 407 thousand passengers used Foz do Iguaçu International Airport.
Regarding the profile, Brazilians represent the majority of passengers for the Carnival holiday. The city has direct flights to important issuing hubs, such as São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro and Curitiba. In addition, seasonal routes complement the offer.
Foz do Iguaçu is not a typical carnival destination, as it does not offer large parties with national or international appeal. The destination usually receives tourists looking to escape the festivities or just take advantage of the days off to travel.
