According to projections, the Iguaçu terminal will receive approximately 18 people between June 22 and 25. The calculation takes into account all passenger boarding and disembarking operations.
Compared to the same holiday in 2024, which had a similar duration, Foz do Iguaçu airport is expected to see 11% more demand.
On the other hand, the number of landing and takeoff operations will increase slightly, by 14%, totaling 173 departures or arrivals.
According to Motiva (formerly CCR Aeroportos), travelers arriving in Foz do Iguaçu during the holiday will be predominantly Brazilian. In neighboring countries, such as Paraguay and Argentina, the Corpus Christi celebration does not have status holiday.
Foz do Iguaçu hotels and tourism
The hotel industry in Foz do Iguaçu will have average occupancy of 76% on Corpus Christi holiday, according to industry estimates. The percentage includes reservations already made, as of Tuesday (17), for the period between June 19 and 22.
The most sought after hotels, according to the Sindhotéis survey, are in the category resort, with 85% projected occupancy. Next come three-star hotels (80%), four-star hotels (78%), two-star hotels (75%) and five-star hotels (63%).
Foz do Iguaçu tourism will have extended opening hours during the holiday weekend. Iguaçu National Park, for example, will open one hour earlier, every day, between Thursday (19) and Sunday (22).
