The XV Conccepar Internacional, the largest scientific and cultural congress in Paraná, is now accepting registrations for its 15th edition, which will take place from May 26 to 29 in Campo Mourão. Symposium II
The XV Conccepar Internacional will feature the participation of experts from several countries and will promote the III Integrated Educational Symposium, discussing contemporary education topics. The program includes conferences, symposia, mini-courses and the awarding of awards for the best scientific productions in the areas of education and innovation.
Change in time
Paraná is expected to face a wave of intense cold in the coming days, with frost forecast in several regions. According to Simepar, May 23 could be the coldest day of the year, with minimums of up to -2°C in cities such as Inácio Martins, Bituruna and General Carneiro. The change in the weather begins this Thursday (15), with winds from the north bringing drier and warmer air before the arrival of the cold front.
New Asphalt, New Life
Authorization for the transfer of an additional R$36,5 million for paving and lighting works in nine municipalities, through the New Asphalt, New Life program. The cities of Califórnia, Campo do Tenente, Formosa do Oeste, Japurá, Missal, Nova Prata do Iguaçu, Primeiro de Maio, Reserva do Iguaçu and Ortigueira will benefit. The initiative, which has already served 286 municipalities, should reach 90% of the cities in Paraná with up to 50 thousand inhabitants.
Travel Paraná
Since 2024, the state government has trained 12,9 professionals in the tourism sector in 150 municipalities in Paraná. The courses covered topics such as customer service, regional cuisine and management of tourism enterprises. The goal is to train 20 people by the end of this year.
Export
Delegates from the Lombardy region of Italy visited cooperatives in Cascavel and Toledo, in western Paraná, with the aim of establishing agreements to export corn and chicken meat. The delegation sought to expand commercial partnerships with local producers and learn about the region's agro-industrial structure. Paraná is currently responsible for 32% of the chicken consumed in the Italian market.

The exam for the Fiscal Auditor competition of Sefaz-PR will be held on May 16, in 22 cities in the state. With a salary of R$ 19,8 thousand, the contest attracted 61.952 applicants, resulting in a competition of 2.478 candidates per vacancy; the test locations are available on the official website: www.fazenda.pr.gov.br.
General Ombudsman
Lúcia Inez Giacomitti Andrich was elected ombudsman general of the Public Prosecutor's Office of Paraná with 56 votes, being the first woman to assume the position. The election took place on May 12, with the participation of 102 prosecutors. She will take office on the 22nd, replacing João Henrique Vilela da Silveira.
Task force
A task force of divers is working to remove 39 tons of fertilizer that fell into the Paraná River after a truck overturned in São Pedro do Paraná. The operation began on Monday (12), with environmental risk confirmed by Civil Defense. The team was hired by the company responsible for the cargo.
Crop Plan 2025/2026
Discussions for the 2025/2026 Harvest Plan are entering the final stretch. The Parliamentary Front for Agriculture estimates a demand of R$1,3 trillion, with R$599 billion in official credit and at least R$25 billion from the government to equalize interest rates. The increase in the Selic rate worsens the dependence on this subsidy.
2025/2026 Harvest Plan II
The area covered by rural insurance has fallen from 16,29 million to 9,5 million hectares since 2021. The FPA proposes to link 1% of the credit from the Safra Plan to the program, totaling R$5,99 billion. The idea is to adopt a multi-year model, inspired by the US Farm Bill, with greater predictability and security.
Agricultural cooperation
Agribusiness entrepreneurs accompanying Minister Carlos Fávaro on a mission to Angola will present proposals for bilateral cooperation in the agricultural sector. A document with suggestions will be delivered to President Lula on May 23, during the visit of Angolan President João Lourenço. The delegation carried out technical visits and assessed the agricultural potential of 35 million hectares in Angola.
