Dry Port in Foz remains the largest in Latin America in cargo movement

More than 69 trucks were released in the first half of the year. Argentina, Chile and Paraguay are the countries that moved the most shipments.

The Foz do Iguaçu Dry Port continues to be the largest in Latin America in terms of cargo movement, according to data from the Brazilian Federal Revenue Service (RFB) from the first half of 2020. The flow had 69.772 trucks released at the unit operated by Multilog.

Argentina, Chile and Paraguay are the countries that handled the most shipments, followed by national procedures, according to the press office. Paraguay led the way in exports, with 41% of all operations recorded in the period. 

In the first half of the year, 38.454 loads were released in import operations, with cereals, milling industry products and vegetables appearing among the most imported products. 

Of the export procedures, there were 31.318 releases, with emphasis on plastic, paper, cellulose, machines and mechanical instruments.

To streamline operations, Multilog implemented online pre-registration for export and updated the Genius relationship system, which is the player's customer portal.

“To guarantee this, the player operator has adopted measures to streamline processes, ensure the full supply of essential supplies to society and guarantee total safety in operations,” Porto Seco reported in a statement. 

Multilog has 20 business units in the states of Paraná, São Paulo, Santa Catarina and Rio Grande do Sul, and 1,5 million square meters of customs area. The company has more than 1,5 employees.
